Our story
Asmarino Cafe is an independent Eritrean family run cafe based in Finsbury Park, North London which opened in September 2017. Inside our cafe you will find a painted feature wall of the famous Asmara Cathedral found in the Eritrean capital.
We’re passionate about serving great tasting quality food and offer a range of dishes including both vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our food
We serve traditional Eritrean breakfast and brunch options such as ful medames, a fava bean stew served with warm pitta bread and frittata omelette, with onions, tomatoes and green chillies.

Asmarino takes everyday staples such as pasta and rice, adding an Eritrean twist, to create unique ingredient combinations and flavours. We also serve traditional Eritrean dishes including injera with a variety of stew options. See our Gallery for more.
Our coffee
All of our coffees are made with premium grade beans, which are hand-roasted to a medium roast for optimum flavour and then freshly ground in-store. Coffee is a part of daily life in the Eritrean culture and is celebrated through traditional coffee ceremonies.
We also serve a range of black and herbal teas, including traditional Eritrean spiced tea which is infused with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
